Fiber Optic Lasers

On May 10th, 2011, S & S Machinery hosted professionals from the metal fabrication industry in Phoenix for a day of learning about fiber optic lasers. Experts from Salvagnini and IPG Photonics Fiber Laser Technology were on hand to share their knowledge and showcase Salvagnini’s new L3 Fiber Optic Laser.

Salvagnini Fiber Optic Laser Seminar

Everyone was treated to lunch while they were educated on the amazing capabilities of the Salvagnini L3 Fiber Laser Cutter. Did you know that you will see more than a 70% reduction in power consumption when the fiber laser is compared to the 4kw CO2 lasers? Or that there is up to a 67% reduction in total operating costs with the elimination of turbines, bearings, internal optics, vacuum pumps, fans, filters, plasma tubes and end stage tubes, as well as consumable laser and purge gases used in conventional lasers? Everyone was extremely impressed by the L3 and the team from Salvagnini and IPG. If you would like to learn more about the L3 Fiber Laser Cutter from Salvagnini give Ron a call at 602-368-8542 or email him at snsmachinery@cox.net.

Fiber Optic Laser Seminar

All in all, it was an informative afternoon with the opportunity for all to mingle with colleagues in their industry as well as learn from some of the experts in their field. S & S Machinery will be hosting educational seminars such as this one on a regular basis. If you would like to be added to our invite list, send your name and company information to diane@snsmachinery.net and we’ll make sure to send you an invitation to our next event!

Mike Duscher of Salvagnini America

Special thanks to Mike Duscher and Steve Aleshin from Salvagnini America and Tim Webber from IPG Photonics Fiber Laser Technology for sharing their expertise with us. Also, a special thanks to Linda Daly at A2Z Metalworker magazine for spending the day with us and snapping some pictures of the event.
